About the Event
Britain in the Region 2013 is a major conference and networking event comprising a mix of business workshops, panel discussions and one to one meetings on opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa.
It will involve experts and representatives from regional agencies responsible for stimulating trade and investment; both local companies and UK companies already established in the region; experts on banking, legal issues, HR and recruitment; and the Directors of UK Trade & Investment and their teams from across the region.
The event’s primary focus will be on those sectors in the Middle East and North Africa which present the best business opportunities to UK firms – both now and over future years: the sectors include Infrastructure, Mass Transport, Energy, Creative Industries, Education and Skills, Healthcare and Water & Environment. There will be opportunities for networking with a wide range of potential partners, clients and other commercial contacts.
The event will allow participants to:
• Stay ahead of the competition – one to one meetings with UK Trade & Investment staff from the Gulf, Turkey and North African markets.
• Learn from experience – A programme of interactive panel discussions on opportunities in the markets of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Oman and Iraq; as well as opportunities in the wider Middle East and North African region. Companies that have succeeded in the Middle East and North African markets will be showcased and share practical information, tips and advice.
• Get practical advice on your next steps – Access to expert advice from a broad range of business support organisations based in or focused on the Middle East and North Africa.
